Production- Cookie frosting and photoshoot

 With my feature article being about the history of gingerbread, I needed to frost and take images of gingerbread men.

I frosted a multitude of characters, Christmas related or not to show the variety of gingerbread men.

After getting a wide cast of bright characters I started to play around with images I wanted in my final page layouts.

Like most food magazines I incorporated a good amount of close up shots to appeal to the senses of the reader.

I took mid-shots

And my personal favorite, the integration of Gingerbread design and human actions in the picture to tell a story.
