 Project planning proposal 

 

• I am Alexandria Toolsie, a12th grader at West Broward and I am working Arelia Donahue on a Food magazine for our chosen brief. 

 

- I’ve chosen this because growing up I was always intrigued with designing and therefore I feel like a magazine would challenge those skills and interests.  

 

-Also growing up in South Florida I’ve been exposed to multitude of different cultures and the foods that share those cultures, making food itself an integral part of expression in my area. 

 

-The target audience I plan on appealing to would be a teen to young adults specifically the ages of (14-20) with no specific gender preference, but mainly located Florida, reporting on the specific culture in that area. 

 

-We want the social issue we tackle is the toxic looks obsessed culture that targets teens and makes food a burden rather than a luxurious necessity.

-We plan on doing this by exhibiting a fun and playful energy that shows food in spirited light.

• The software we plan on using is InDesign, Photoshop, Pinterest, and Picsart to edit mood boards hardware wise, we plan to use computers, iPad, film cameras, regular cameras as well as phone cameras. The main thing I want to learn is to photograph and edit to tell a cohesive story, 

 

• The basic plan is for us to come up with the key elements such as establishing a mood board and style guide. Then based on that prepare the details of the name and article names and based on those figure out the exact photos we need to further figure out the layout of the pages.
